Pentre Ifan

Pentre Ifan is a prehistoric monument located in Pembrokeshire, Wales. This ancient site is a true marvel of human ingenuity and is said to date back to the Neolithic period, around 3,500 BC. Positioned at the top of a hill, this monument is made up of three standing stones that support a giant capstone, creating what is known as a dolmen.

It is believed that the Pentre Ifan dolmen was formed by a group of people who wanted to create a sacred space for their dead. The capstone, which weighs approximately 16 tons, is thought to have been transported over 10 miles from its original location. The stones used to create the dolmen are believed to have been carefully selected by the people who built it.

Pentre Ifan remains one of the most impressive and well-preserved neolithic tombs in the UK, and attracts visitors from all over the world who come to marvel at its impressive architecture and to connect with its rich cultural history.
